Air bag cover with at least one flap

The enclosure has a cover formed by a rigid panel that is provided with a portion, which forms a flap that is defined by multiple sides. The cover is made of a thermoplastic laminate that is provided with multiple first layers and multiple second layers in an alternate manner. The first layers are made of a homogenous thermoplastic film that consists of polyolefin copolymer, polyester or polyester copolymer. The second layers consist of an array of strips, fibers or filaments of polypropylene or polyester. The second layers are folded at a hinge. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing pleat, groove or gutter.
