Intake manifold with integrated heat exchanger and its method of manufacturing

The distributor (1) has a heat exchanger (2) mounted in interior space of the distributor while being integral with a wall of a body (1') of the distributor by a side flange (4). Hollow constituent parts (5, 5') are joined by welding of its opposing peripheral edges (6, 6'). The edges are physically connected in airtight manner directly or indirectly, along a continuous peripheral contact area (7) surrounding outer periphery of the flange. The edges are mechanically connected to the flange by engagement or by being made integral at through openings (8) and/or at hooking or bonding areas. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an intake manifold or distributor.
