Spherical swivel module

The module (2) has a recess (42) provided in a ball stud (11). The recess is axially displaceable to operate perpendicular to the locking pin (44). A movable unit (60) is adapted for locking and unlocking the module. An electric motor actuates the locking pin. A drive is coupled with the locking pin through a combination of axially rigid elements (34, 50). The drive is connected to a motor to move the locking pin within the recess into a locking position and to actuate the movable unit for locking the module.
