Lighting unit

The unit (100) has a printed circuit board (102) which carries a light source. An electronic circuit drives the light source. The light source is provided with several LED (110). A decorative layer (112) is directly formed on the all over surface (104) of the printed circuit board or in surface portions of the surface of the printed circuit board.
