Battery cooling device for a car battery

The device has a cooling body (1) provided with channels (2) for flow with a coolant, and thermally contacting to battery cells of a vehicle battery. An endcap (3) is provided at an end of the cooling body, where the channels of the cooling body open into the endcap. Multiple projections (4) are formed at the endcap and project into the channels of the cooling body. The endcap is formed as a coolant distributor with an inlet (5) and an outlet (6) of coolant, and as a lid element by which the coolant is turned back. The cooling body is designed as an extruded section made from aluminum. The endcap is made of plastic by an injection molding process and from aluminum. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a cooling device.
