The system (1) has a drive unit comprising a driven shaft (3), and a terminal system (5) comprising a connector (6) for a drive housing (7). A gearbox comprises a gear shaft (8), and bearing elements (12, 13) are provided for rotatory relative movements. A torque converter (11) is connected to the gear shaft. The bearing elements support the torque converter opposite to a gear housing (10). A damper (14) is arranged between the driven shaft and the torque converter. The bearing elements are arranged between a converter housing (15) and the gear housing. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle.
