For fastening the roof fabric to a carriage, said carriage is provided with first and second fastening means.The first fastening means comprise a metal sleeve and a metal spring which is locked into said metal sleeve. The spring is formed by a hairpin and further a U-shaped folded spring wire, wherein the base of the U-shaped folded hairpin shape forms an annular portion which can be opened by applying pressure. The second fastening means comprise a metal pin with at least one circumferential groove. The pin is provided to be pressed, with its conically shaped end, into said sleeve, through the annular portion of the metal spring, such that the conically shaped end opens the annular portion of the metal spring by pressure, which further slides over the pin and to locks into place into the circumferential groove of the pin.
