Connection element for a battery, battery and method for producing a battery

The connector (1) has a base body (2) with a bottom (3) and side walls (4), which enclose an inner space (5), where the base body is opened at an upper side. Slots (6) are formed in the bottom of the base body for passing connector lugs into the inner space. A film (7) and a plastic injection molded layer (17) are attached at a surface side of the bottom. The film and the plastic injection molded layer close the slots before introduction of the connector lugs into the inner space of the base body. Incisions (8) are formed in the film and the molded layer aligned to the slots of the body. The film is a lead film or a polypropylene film. The base body is a one-piece mold part and a tub-shaped base body. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a battery (2) a method for manufacturing a battery.
