The support unit has preliminary mounting portion (4) and final assembly zone (5) to which the diaphragm is mounted. The preliminary mounting portion is concealed by diaphragm (6) whose dimension is greater than dimension of diaphragm. The strength of diaphragm is higher than strength of support unit. The support unit is a liner for bumper of vehicle. The diaphragm is provided with opening for towing vehicle. An independent claim is included for a method of manufacturing painted bodywork component.
