Device for sealing an opening in the bodywork of a vehicle

The device has a movable plate (3) movable with respect to a fixed plate (1) and closing an aperture whose edges are remote from a periphery of the fixed plate. Connection units (4, 5) are connected with the movable plate and the fixed plate, respectively. The connection units cooperate with each other such that the movable plate is movable between a closing position and an opening position. A side of a retainer (6) is fixed to the fixed plate and/or at a body of a vehicle beside the aperture. The retainer is fixed at the connection unit that is connected with the movable plate.
