Vehicle with a hydrostatic traction drive

DRIVE November 20, 2013
Source
The vehicle (1) has a hydrostatic traction drive (2) comprising a hydrostatic gearbox (4) that is arranged in a drive train. The traction drive provides a function of an inch brake that is actuatable independent of a service brake (3). A trailer (7) is coupled with the vehicle and actuatable by a trailer brake (8) on the vehicle. An inch braking process triggers a predetermined trailer braking process in a predetermined operation mode. An electrical sensor arrangement (10) is attached to a brake control element (9) for sensory acquisition of deflection (A) of the control element. The electrical sensor arrangement comprises an absolute sensor e.g. potentiometer and magnetoresistive (MR) sensor, or an incremental sensor i.e. hall sensor. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a full trailer combination (2) a method for operating a vehicle.
