The holder (1) has fastening unit (6) connectable with the internal combustion engine (3). The component such as fuel manifold is indirectly connected to the fastening unit by damping element (7) formed of elastic material. The damping element in a loading direction (11) is positively connected with a retaining element (8). The damping element is integrally with the base structure (5). An independent claim is included for fuel injection system.
