Fuel injector

The fuel injector comprises a nozzle needle (1), which is guided in a high pressure borehole (2) of a nozzle body (3) for releasing or sealing an injection opening. An intensifier piston is provided, which interacts with the nozzle needle. A movable delay element (8) is provided in a control chamber (5) for forming a throttle (9) between a primary control chamber section (5.1) and a secondary control chamber section (5.2).
