Flow battery, electrochemical energy converter for a flow battery, a cell frame and bipolar plate and collector plate

The battery (1) has electrochemical energy converter (2) with circulation device for electrolyte. The electrolyte ducts (3) are provided to supply and discharge the electrolyte from a storage tank (31,32) to the energy converter and back to the storage tank in the form of process cycle. The energy converter has reaction cell with electrodes e.g. bipolar plate and/or collector plate. The reaction cells are electrically interconnected with ion-conducting membrane (23). The inlet and outlet portion (301,302) for electrolyte are electrically insulated by spacer isolation.
