An internal combustion engine (1) has a one-way clutch (30) including a ring gear (16) connected to the output shaft of a starting motor, an outer race member (12) connected to a crankshaft (2), and a claw piece (32) arranged between the outer circumferential surface of the ring gear (16) and the inner circumferential surface of the outer race member (12) facing the outer circumferential surface of the ring gear (16). The ring gear (16) and the outer race member (12) have a threaded hole (19) and a through hole (15), respectively, to receive a jig (50) for fixing the ring gear (16) and the outer race member (12) to each other.
