The tool has a fuel pump (23) conveying fuel from a fuel tank (32) to an injection valve, which supplies the fuel to an internal combustion engine e.g. two-stroke engine. An impeller (28) is driven by the engine. The engine includes a cylinder (17), which is arranged in a cooling zone (A). The impeller conveys cool air through the cooling zone. The pump is arranged in another cooling zone (C). A buffer zone (B) is formed between the cooling zones, and separated from the cooling zones by partition walls. The latter cooling zone lies in a flow path of combustion air sucked by the engine.
