Throttling assembly of a turbocharger

The arrangement has a flow channel (2b) formed in a housing (2). A pivotable flap (8) is provided upstream and adjacent to a turbine wheel (3) and integrated in the flow channel. The turbine wheel is held in a spiral channel (7) of the housing. The pivotable flap is arranged in an opening region of the flow channel into the spiral channel such that the pivotable flap completely closes the flow channel in a closed position and a flow connection to the spiral channel. The flap is adjusted over a shaft (9) parallel to a rotational axis of the turbine wheel. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a throttle device arrangement.
