Balancing shaft

The balancing shaft (1) has imbalance sections (2,3) and bearing points (4,5), where the imbalance sections are assigned to the bearing points. The balancing shaft has transverse openings (6,6') at the bearing points, which separate two bearing section surfaces (7,8). The balancing shaft is forged and the transverse openings proceed parallel to a forging direction. The latter bearing section surface extends over a smaller circumferential angle than the former bearing section surface.
