Electrical machine and method for manufacturing an electrical machine

The machine (100) has a commutator armature unit protruding in an axial direction of an armature shaft (17) that is supported at an end (17a) by a commutator bearing float. A variable axial safety device is arranged between the commutator armature unit and a variable commutator in the axial direction in order to reduce an axial play of the armature shaft. The axial safety device comprises a thrush washer adjacent to a spring storage device i.e. spring ring, elastically deformable in the axial direction. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an electric machine.
