Thermal insulation for rocket engines

The thermal insulation structure has winding portions (10-12) that are made of resin material and/or elastomer material. The winding axis of the winding portions is set to coincide with a longitudinal axis (15) of a thrust nozzle (3) which is provided with a thermal insulation element (8). The winding portions are formed of braided cord fabric portion (13) and are pressed along the winding axis. The braided cord fabric portion is made of glass fiber and carbon fiber. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing thermal insulation structure.
