The support element has a fixing unit for attachment of the support element to a circuit board, where another fixing unit is provided for attachment of an electric motor to the support element. The two fixing units are configured and arranged relative to each other, where the electric motor is inclined with a surface extension of the circuit board. The electric motor is attached with a motor shaft on the circuit board extending diagonally to a surface extension of the circuit board. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a display unit for a motor vehicle; and (2) a method for fixing an electric motor on an electronic circuit board of an electrical pointer instrument in a display unit of a motor vehicle.
