The circuit has a voltage source for generating electrical energy, and a storage element (26) for storing the electrical energy from the voltage source and restoring the electrical energy to a load. The storage element comprises capacitors (31, 36) that are connected according to a modular topology. Controlled switches (32, 34, 35) modify the modular topology of the capacitors. A control circuit controls a state of the controlled switches and stores a current topology of the capacitors. The capacitors are connected to a network of the controlled switches. The storage element is designed as an electrochemical battery or an electrostatic super-capacitor. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling an electronic circuit for recovering, storing and restitution of energy.
