Metering device with a gas mixer and method for controlling gas mixture formation

A gas mixer (7) has a mixing chamber (15) in which an air mass flow (9) of combustible gas is measured. A controller (8) controls the measurement of combustible gas based on the air mass flow, gas temperature, engine speed, and engine load of the gas engine. A high dynamic pressure regulator (RP) feeds the gas into the mixing chamber from annular space (6) through dosing holes (16). The diameter of dosing hole is set such that supercritical gas flow is enabled through dosing hole. An independent claim is included for a method for controlling air/fuel mixture for operation of gas engine.
