Adjustable rail-guided foot pedals for a motor vehicle

The assembly has a pedal block provided with pedals that are swingably supported around pedal axles in the pedal block. The pedal block is displaceably guided relative to a body of a motor car in a longitudinal direction of the motor car. The pedal block is lockable by a locking unit in different positions. The locking unit is designed or dimensioned such that the locking unit is unlocked when a clamping force exceeds a given maximum force affecting the locking unit. The locking unit comprises a bolt that acts between a rail and the pedal block. The locking unit is designed as a clamping mechanism or a spring-loaded interlocking element.
