Improved method for pollutant emissions reduction in an internal combustion engine
DRIVE
June 12, 2013
The method involves filtering solid particles (2) contained in polluting emissions by a particle filter (1), where the filter allows filtration of solid particles when covered with a fine solid particles layer (4) during normal functioning of an engine, and drives a back-pressure with exhaust of the engine when covered with a thicker layer of solid particles at an end of a longer operation life. The filter is regenerated when covered by a harmful layer to eliminate the harmful layer in its totality. Formation of the fine layer is accelerated. Blank of any particle is applied to the filter.
