Locking device for a motor vehicle door

The locking device (1) comprises locking units (10,20) for fixing to door (ST) and door frame (TP) respectively. The locking units are configured to lock to each other, such that they are made identical. The locking units are provided with wedge-shaped projection (11) and wedge-shaped recess (21) respectively, which are configured so as to self-lock with one another. The projection and recess are defined respective locking surfaces. The locking units are provided with respective oblong holes, so that mounting positions of locking units are adjusted variably along the holes.
