Method for controlling the boost pressure in an internal combustion engine with a pressure wave supercharger
DRIVE
February 27, 2013
The method involves providing a pressure-wave supercharger (B), a channel (O) for drawing in fresh air, another channel (P) for discharging the compressed fresh air, a third channel (Q) for supplying exhaust gas, and a fourth channel (R) for discharging exhaust gas connected to the pressure-wave supercharger. The pressure-wave supercharger has a cold-gas housing, to which former channel and the latter channel are connected. A control disk (D) is provided for adjusting the pressure-wave process by a geometric offset of third and fourth channel.
