Axle body and axle assembly for HGV or HGV trailers

The axle casing (200a) is formed with axial longitudinal extension (L) and is connected with a commercial vehicle-frame at two axially spaced connection points by guide rods. The axle casing is formed continuously in an axial section (210a-250a) with a profile which guides on the basis of its geometrical configuration to a low torsional stiffness and to a high bending stiffness.
