Fuel reservoir for a motor vehicle

The reservoir (1) has a shell body provided with an inlet opening and a discharge opening. A storage chamber is defined by the shell body, and receives fuel. A reinforcement (5) extends through the storage chamber, receives mechanical forces that act on the shell body, and comprises a reinforcement support and a stress relief device i.e. tension pin, where the reinforcement support comprises a receiving chamber extending through and receiving the stress relief device and the stress relief device extends through the receiving chamber and the shell body.
