The train (10) has an electric machine (12) providing motive power, and a transmission arrangement (14) including a transmission input shaft (22) and gear stages (G1, G2), where the shaft is connected to the machine. A differential part (16) is connected to an output of a gear box and set up to distribute motive power to drive shafts (18L, 18R). The differential part is connected to a diagonally interlocked drive wheel (54) to be engaged with a diagonally interlocked pinion (52) of the output. A pressure pad arrangement (62) absorbs axial forces arising from a helical gearing.
