Fastening device for a roof rack

The fastening device has fastening feet, over which a roof rack body is fixed with the screws to the fastening holding plates (6), where the screws are passed over a through opening. A fixing element (10) is passed through a roof opening and fixes the fastening holding plates in a stable position opposite to a roof (15) of a vehicle, before the fastening holding plates are permanently fixed for outer side part (22) and the roof rack is installed.
