Fixing device for a cladding plate

The invention concerns a fixing device for a cladding plate (12) on the undercarriage (14) of a vehicle, especially a heavy goods vehicle, with a top and bottom suspension for releasably attaching the cladding plate to the undercarriage. The cladding plate can be pivoted away from the vehicle at its bottom suspension (22) and removed in said pivoted-away position, whilst the top suspension comprises a manual-release lock (72). The top suspension comprise a receiving element (56) and an insert (54) with complementary angled surfaces for centering thereof.
