The exhaust gas purification device has a connecting element (11) for mechanically coupling with an exhaust gas turbocharger (1) and a particulate filter (14). The exhaust gas turbocharger and particulate filter are fluidically connected to the connecting element. A current thread (16) between the connecting element and the particulate filter has a maximum length of 600 millimeter. An independent claim is included for a motor vehicle, particularly diesel engine driven motor vehicle.
