Transmission devices and method for transmitting electric current to a component of a steering wheel of a motor vehicle

The transmission device (1) has a rotor (2) which is arranged on steering wheel and rotated together with steering wheel. A stator (3) is arranged on a stationary with respect to rotational movement of steering wheel of vehicle component. A conductor element (4) is electrically connected to stator through rotor. The temperature of the conductor element is determined by temperature sensor (5). An independent claim is included for method for transmitting electric current to component of steering wheel of motor vehicle.
