Source
To provide an entirely downsized electric motor capable of improving energy efficiency An electric motor 1 having a speed change function is configured to differentiate a rotational speed of a rotor 5 from a rotational speed of an output shaft 13 outputting a torque transmitted from the rotor 5. The electric motor 1 comprises: a stator coil 4 arranged on an inner circumferential face of a cylindrical outer case 6; a cylindrical rotor 5 which is arranged in an inner circumferential side of the stator coil 4, and which is adapted to generate a torque by receiving a magnetic force generated by the stator coil 4; and a continuously variable transmission mechanism 3, which is arranged in an inner circumferential side of the rotor 5, and which is adapted to continuously vary a ratio between a rotational speed of an input member 32 connected with the rotor 5, and a rotational speed of an output member 33 connected with the output shaft 13 and rotated by the torque from the input member 32.
