METHOD AND DEVICE FOR COMMUNICATING BETWEEN AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE AND A CHARGING STATION

The method involves generating a predetermined direct current voltage level on a pilot conductor by a voltage generation unit. Existence of an electrical connection with an electric vehicle is detected by detecting another predetermined direct current voltage level on the conductor by a detector unit. A trigger signal is emitted on the conductor by a signal generating unit, and a vehicle identification signal is detected on the conductor by a sensor unit. A power supply is released to a power conductor. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program product for performing a method for providing communication between a load station and an electric vehicle (2) a device for providing communication between a load station and an electric vehicle.
