The method involves determining the position of the vehicle (1) on a roadway (2) for the specific position of the vehicle, and obtaining data of a curved road course (3) in the run-up (4) of the vehicle. The data is obtained for self-motion of the vehicle with a driving dynamics sensor (5). The curved roadway in the run-up of the vehicle is divided into two critical zones corresponding to the data of the curved road course and the data for self-motion.
