Method and device for controlling the light emission of a front headlamp of a vehicle

The method involves detecting image by imaging the area infront of a vehicle (12), and detecting an object (28) in captured image, and checking whether the object is a light-reflecting or self-luminous object using an image processing process/traffic detection process by a processing unit (22). The brightness of image of object is determined when object is the light reflecting object. The light emission of a head lamp (26) of the vehicle is controlled depending on the determined brightness of the image of the light reflecting object. An independent claim is included for arrangement for controlling light emission of head lamp of vehicle e.g. motor vehicle.
