Coupling device for a motor vehicle

The coupling device (1) has a tow bar support (2) movably mounted on a support housing (3), a first locking element fixed in the coupling position, and a second locking element fixed to the first locking element and through which the tow bar support is fixed in the coupling position, in a redundant configuration to the first locking element. The locking elements are fixed with each other in freely movable manner. The locking elements are movable into locking position and/or from locked position, using a drive element.
