The stabiliser assembly has a torsion bar with two parts whose first ends are each connectable to a wheel mounting of a wheel axle. The second ends are connected through couplings and the positive locking elements (32 to 35) of the first or second coupling element (25, 39) form movably attached engagement elements (36, 37) which are mounted so that they can be moved independently of each other to separate the coupling and can be shifted independently of each other through the operating device used to separate the coupling. The engagement elements can be held in engagement with the positive locking elements through the force of a retaining spring (50).
