Roller blind system for a motor vehicle

The roller blind system (20) has a rotatably mounted winding shaft (30), where an extension rod (50) is formed by an end (50a) and another opposite end (50b). The former end is guided by a guide rail (60) of a guiding system. A major portion of a pivoted section of the extraction rod is pivotably movable relative to the guide rail. An independent claim is included for a vehicle side door for use with roller blind system to partially cover a window opening.
