The device (11) has a planetary gear (13) and a bevel gear (14) arranged in a power transmission direction at an output side of an electrical machine (12) e.g. asynchronous machine, based on tensional operation. A rotor (15) of the electric machine is connected with a sun wheel (17) of the planetary gear. A ring wheel (31) of the planetary gear is arranged at a housing (25) in a fixed manner. A bar (18) of the planetary gear is connected with a pinion (19) of the bevel gear by a bar shaft. A wheel bearing pin (21) of a wheel bearing (22) serves as a support for a ring gear (20).
