POSITIVE ELECTRODE, RECHARGEABLE LITHIUM BATTERY INCLUDING THE SAME, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A positive electrode includes a current collector and a positive electrode active material layer on the current collector, the positive electrode active material layer comprising (a) a first positive electrode active material that comprises lithium-nickel-based composite oxide and has a bare form without a carbon coating on a surface thereof (is substantially devoid of a carbon coating on a surface thereof) , (b) a second positive electrode active material that comprises lithium-nickel-based composite oxide and has a core and a carbon coating layer on the core, (c) a conductive material that comprises a carbon-based material, and (d) a binder. Also disclosed is a rechargeable lithium battery including the positive electrode, and a method of manufacturing the positive electrode.
