The vehicle has a front flap (3) pivotably held at a body via two hinges that are arranged in a rearward region of the flap. An airbag module (15) is fixed in a rear edge region of the flap. An airbag (19) is accommodated in the module upon activation of the module, passed through a gap between the rear edge region of the flap and a front pane and inflated in front of a windscreen to protect a pedestrian or cyclist. A rearwardly open, separate Z-shaped reinforcing profile (9) is arranged between the hinges, and accommodates the module. A detachable cover (21) is made of a plastic part.
