Tension stabilisation device

The apparatus (1) has a direct current-direct current converter circuit (3), an energy storage device (5) e.g. double layer-capacitor, and a changeover switch (7) i.e. relay, that are designed and arranged in such a manner that the energy storage device is rechargeable by the converter circuit. The changeover switch enables an electrical connection between a voltage-sensitive consumer (9) e.g. car radio, and the energy storage device such that the energy storage device supplies stabilization voltage (Ustab) to the consumer based on the requirement.
