Seat assembly for a vehicle

A vehicle seat assembly comprises a seat (1) and at least one flexible strap (10, 11) for suspending the seat from a part of the vehicle or of the seat assembly, e.g. a panel (3). A pad (17) of compressible foam is arranged to be interposed between a surface (7) of the seat facing away from an occupant, and a vehicle hull (2).
