Display device for an electric vehicle

The display device has one or multiple display panels (3,4,5) for a vehicle driver, where a processing medium is adapted to a function of a driving parameter. The processing medium is adapted particularly to the actual power of an electric vehicle or a driving profile entered by the driver. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a display device in a battery powered electric vehicle.
