The heat exchanger assembly (10) has a cup-shaped heat exchanger housing (12) that is elongated in the direction of a longitudinal axis and a circumference wall area (14). A base wall area (16) is provided in an end area (18) of the circumference wall area. A flow space (30) is formed with a circumferential flow space (32) and a base flow space (34) in the heat exchanger housing. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle heating device, which has a combustion area.
