A control apparatus of the hybrid vehicle has a racing control section which, when an accelerator depression operation is done in a state in which the engine is in the no-load state, in a case where a torque absorption restriction condition that restricts torque absorption by the motor/generator with an engine torque being a power-generation torque is satisfied, restricts an rotation speed of the engine.
