Electrical equipment for an automobile, in particular a lighting or signalling device.

The device has a housing (1) in which an electronic component e.g. electronic card, is arranged near a rear wall (2) of the housing, where the wall is made of molded plastic material. The wall includes a breakable portion (3) that is removed to release a rectangular shaped opening for replacement of the component. A fixing unit (5) e.g. attachment lug, fixes a closure cover to close the opening after removal of the portion. A sealing unit is provided on a portion of the outline of the opening to cooperate with a conjugate sealing unit provided on the cover to ensure the sealing of the device. An independent claim is also included for a method for recovering an electric device.
